but we're enjoying the best store-bought peaches and plums (the speckled kind, not the deep purple ones) that I think I've ever had- I'm eating them like popcorn. This weekend I'll make white peach shortcake; I don't sweeten the peaches, I peel and cut them up as-is and serve on a warm bisquick shortcake with a few red raspberries sprinkled on top of the whipped cream.
