Wright's Fishing Calendar offers the best time of day to fish, but are subject to change by local conditions such as high winds, storms, or cold. These forecasts are based on fishing experiences over many years.

NOT if you learn to avoid them!
I was going to go out at about midnight last night for trolling on Erie in my 17 footer.
At about 9:00 a buddy called and said he just took two 4 1/2 foot waves over the bow of his 20 footer. The forcasted 6 mph winds were at 20 and rising. He was in the process of leaving...

I watched "Speeders" on the TV ;)

#1 son went out on !4th, 15th and last night, all night. On the 14th (fair) he caught a few small trout. O 15th and last night 15th/16th (poor) he caught nothing. I'll be waiting till the first weekend in Sept. to go again.

I'm hoping to give it a try tonight for walleyes.
The weather's great, but my guts are still suffering from a lot of "Rudy's" barbecue, "Lulu's" Chicken fried steak, and 2 giant plates of Mexican food. I put on about 5#'s in Texas :)

There's still a lot of stuff floating out on Erie from the big flood. Should be interesting trolling around in the dark...

Glad you liked the food. Too bad you didn't go down to the River Walk, it is especially putrid in August. It would be really nice if they would pump some fresh water through there.

I suppose FEMA is busily handing out money for your flood victims!

I'm glad to see you have a very aggressive drug awareness program in the San Antonio area...

They CAN'T be talkin' 'bout the LAWN

To be honest though, when I was there in '07, it rained almost every day, and the lawns were all green as they are here...

I am glad you enjoyed some of our finer points. :D

Yep, Those San Antonioians will keep their sprinklers running until water rationing starts and they start handing out tickets for watering on the wrong day. There are two big aquifers that feed San Antonio and Austin. Word is that they are rising, so it musta rained somewhere! Too bad about those folks up there on Lake Erie. I suppose it's good that there are still people in this world that take care of themselves. Otherwise there wouldn't be anyone to take care of the rest.

Just got done cleaning...

Went over to the Canadian side of Erie, and got 6 for 3 hours of trolling. It took over an hour to find out what lure they wanted :( (Willy's Worm instead of the usual Norman Lil' N)
They run about 18 to 24". I lost another one about 24" right at the boat, and also caught 5 SM Bass, one was about a 6# lunker. I was praying it was an 8# walleye while I was cranking it in :p

Some will be in the frying pan tomorrow !!
