Well I just wanted to tell you folks, that I liked the Bushnell Elite 3200 series Tactical scope so much, I purchased two more of them from Cabela's this week. The 5 x 15 power with sunshade, mil-dot recticules and turrets really pay off when shooting far down range.:D

Every Bushy Elite 3200 and 4200 I've messed with have been great. They are an optics best buy for sure.
Hi Ball,
Have you used one of the 6500's yet? What do you think of them if you have.

:confused:Ive hear that the bushys are sort of short on the Elev. adjustments. Can you confirm that HIBall. I want to say I heard some where around 30 MOA total.

I agree highball. They are good scopes for the money. I've got both the 3200 and 4200 series scopes.

Howdy....I really haven't had the time as of lately to even mess with mounting those new scopes on the new rifles I purchased for the wife and I.
I have 3 of those Bushnell 5 x 15 x 40 mil-dot with turrets (tactical) scopes. Also two of the 3200 4 x 12 with mil-dots. :) One is going on a .300 Rem Ultra mag model 70 Winchester stainless. The other two are going on a 7mm mag model 70 Winchester stainless and a 6.5/300 Win mag model 70 Winchester wildcat.
I'll let all of you know about the adjustments sometime next week after the wife and I come back from the rifle range. I also purchased a new spotting scope for her to use doing bench work with her rifles. It too is a Bushnell with rain/guard 100% water proof. and the power is 20 x 60 x 65. I think it is a good spotting scope for the money and job intended. ;)
I have been a Leupold man for many years but folks you just have to compare dollars and quailty and I know those Bushnell are at least a $100 dollars per scope higher. Now in the Tactical version they are way more than $100 dollars. I paid $380 US dollars for each 3200 tac scope! :D
Rich......No I have not as yet and most likely will not purchase such a scope for my type of shooting or hunting.;)
hi ball,
Pretty soon I can give a new comparison. I ordered a 4 1/2-30X50 6500 mildot. It was offered for $619.99 from Poor Fish Co on ebay.

Rich that is positively a lot of rifle scope! I like what I read about that scope but I wanted to first see how it's track record was going to go before I invested any of my coin into one of them. I do believe that Bushnell has some good products. I also got the wife a new Bushnell spotting scope for her bench work, when shooting at the rifle range and viewing the eagles down at the river. Please do let us know of how things work out with your new rifle scope ok. Now what type of rifle are you going to mount this new scope on? Caliber, bolt action, single action etc. :) :D

My latest Bushy Elite 4200 purchase was a 4-16 X 40 to go on a new Remmy in .204. This is one sweet scope. It has the third turret parallax / focus and is clear and sharp. IMO, it's a real winner.
Hi Ball,
I will post something about the rifle the 6500 is going on in the hunting rifle section.
By the way my son-in-law uses a 4-16X. He told me,
"Your new scope is a 4-16X and a 6-24X and an 8 1/2-25X and almost an 8-32X in one and only weighs 21 ounces. That's a lot of scope!"
I didn't think of all that, but I guess I agree. I really like the side focus.

HOWDY DO IT......I just check those Bushnell 3200 elite tac scopes out today as well as a 3200 elite 4 x 12 x 40 model. They have at least 60 clicks going each way. I stopped at 60 clicks and looks like to me there was another 25 or 30 left to add on to the 60 clicks. Hope this helps you out in choice down the road!;) :D

Hi-Ball's right on the money with the Bushnell 3200 Elite Tactical! I've got 2 on both of my Savage .308's, and I'm putting another on my new Savage Model 110 FPC-K in .300 Win. Mag. I secured them in Burris Signature Zee Rings and Burris Extreme Steel Tactical Bases. This scope is every bit as bright and clear as any of my high dollar Leupolds. Once you get used to using the Mil-Dot system it is one of the best features going on a long range target scope. With the Burris Signature Zee Rings I can dial in any range I want by using the offset plastic inserts. With this set up in the .300 Win. Mag. it will be a cinch to reach out to 1,000 yards, and well beyond. And they require zero lapping because they are self centering. Bill T.

I'm probably the wrong one to be asking, but aren't those big knobs for adjustment really easy to get turned a few clicks either way when you put the rifle in the case for instance? I can't remember ever holding high on anything around here as it is either right in your lap or you don't see it for the foliage so I can't say that would be the scope for me. Just curious.

It takes enough effort to turn them so I doubt anything would move unintentionally casing, or uncasing the weapon. These are too heavy to be used as hunting rifles, unless you were doing so from a stand. But even if you were to take them afield, I doubt they would snag on anything that would cause movement. I think a greater concern would be the weather causing issues. They are not as well protected as a similar model with screw on caps with rubber washers. Bill T.
