This is it. If I were buying, this would be it. The SWAT is the replacement for the Alligence, which is what I have now. I shot the Drenalin, and honestly it was no comparison.

I gather from discussions that the best Matthews was and still is the Switchback.

On another small site where some mature expert shooters gather, the generally agreed opinion is that the S2 is one of the best bows ever made.

That is the source of info which I would be inclined to value in a purchase decision. I can remember not too long ago the best thing I had was a Browning Ambush. I made the best of it, and thought I didn't need all that hooplaw high end stuff. I valued my time in the woods as more important.

I was wrong. I was told that the Alligence was on consignment at the local pro shop, and my friends suggested I at least go shoot it. I did- 3 arrows. I high-tailed it down the street to the bank and got some cash. Never looked back. And as far as compounds , I will never go back to a lesser compound. Night & day difference.

If I were replacing what I've got, it'd be El Capitan - a little shorter & lighter than my bow, maybe a tweak faster. I really do think there's something to that riser design.....

But barring a new job with a substantially fatter paycheck, I'm planning to be happy as a pig in slop for the foreseeable future.
