Has anyone here hunted ibex in Spain, Greece, or Turkey? How about any where else? Where's Arts when you need him?

Wasn't Arts a poster way back that used to get into arguments about meat preparation? Used to work for the U.S. government in that field, maybe?

If I understood him correctly, Arts had a PhD in some aspect of agricultural meat processing from the University of Kentucky. He had also worked as a meat processor and in some capacity as a gunsmith over the years.

He was a fanatical and very knowledgeable reloader, rifleman, hunter, and meat aficionado. He knew just about everything there was to know about game preparation and he said that most people had no idea of what they were missing in terms of just how good properly prepared meat could be.

He was a self-described “regular Joe” who drove an old truck and had the bank automatically withdraw a portion of each paycheck so that he could hunt the world, including international mountainous game.

And I wrote “was” because he used to contribute to this site a lot. I’m sure he’s still out there doing what he loves, he just doesn’t post about it here anymore. It had something to do with his switching jobs making it so he didn’t have as much time to participate here.

That’s my take on the situation, at least.
