Yes. I have hunted Moose . I am trying to get a B&C Shiras and Canadian. Seems the Shiras might be the hardest. Will contact the outfitter.

You don't need an outfitter. This self-guided Colorado hunt 2 weeks ago took one hour of spotting and 6 hours of calling, rattling and stalking. It did take 10 years to draw the tag though. It does help to have your BIL there to help cart the critter back out.

No you dont need an outfitter or guide for anything but if you dont live in that area and spend 10 years or more at drawing a tag It sure would be a plus to have one.
