Now you're talkin'. I wore out many a foam spider on grandads ponds as a kid. It's one kind of fishing that seems to never get dull.

I don't know why but the bluegills in our little lake never get big enough to bother with. There are some but none that will even get to eatin size. They are a lot of fun on a fly rod.

There's a lot of sweet meat in a bunch of them.
When I was a kid, i used to let the first one I caught lose, whith a hook in his lip and a bobber on a length of string. This used to let me track the school around til I got as many as I could out of it.

I've seen ponds go from stunted to nice in just a couple of months by thinnin em out.
