I threatened to go looking for one in the Quick Dinner thread and for $12.65 I don't know why everyone shouldn't have one. I know more than a few of you have posted that you lost everything in your freezer when your freezer quit on you. Mine is called a CDN Model TA10 that goes off with a beeping sound when the temperature goes to over 15 degrees F. or 9.5 C. for you Canadians. I Googled freezer alarms and I see that Target might carry these too, but I got mine from a local parts supply house. Component Design Northwest, Inc. in Portland, OR. might sell them direct too.
