I did my best guys. I really need a new digital camera. These were taken with my Sony Cybershot. It doesn't have the pixel quality I would like, but on the plus side I'm not burning up a ton of bandwidth on the forum. I picked up a nice Harris 6"-9" Bi-Pod this morning from Cabela's. The one I have is too long for a heavy caliber rifle. The one thing I don't care for on this new Bushnell 3200 Elite Tactical Scope is they have gone to green numbers on the adjustment knobs. It's not bad, and I'm not trying to nit pick, but the white numbers were much easier to see in lower light conditions.

Anyway, I'm really happy with the way this rifle turned out. I really can't say enough good about the Bushnell 3200 Elite Tactical 5-15X Scope. I honestly can't come up with a better one that gives as much "bang for the buck". The Burris Signature Zee Rings mated up with the steel Burris Extreme Tactical Bases for just the right height. As you can see, the Butler Creek front Cap just clears the barrel. I bore sighted it about 10" high at 100 yards. To accomplish this I used a +.020 and a -.020 offset insert in the rear ring, and a -.010 and a +.010 offset insert in the front ring. Between the canted downward angle, along with the total elevation adjustment I have in the scope, along with the excellent Mil-Dot System, I should be able to hold dead on at very long ranges. This I'm really looking forward to! Anyway, for now it's all up to my handloads which I'll start loading tomorrow. It should be cooling off here soon, and I can't wait to get this thing lit up! Bill T.

That's a sweet setup! I bet it can shoot the wings off a fly at 500 yards. And that's a nice looking table it's sitting on.

VERY nice set up !!

That's exactly the kind of rifle I like... A HUNTING rifle, not a safe Queen.
I have a Win. Mod 70 .338 set up the same, and with a KDF brake and a Bell & Carlson stock on it, even a cave man could shoot it. Kicks like a .270.
My old .338 was shot so much (without a brake) I burned the barrel out of it. With warm loads that thing would knock the spit right out of your mouth http://mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/scared/scared0014.gif

I have a .270 set up with the same stock, both rifles are glass bedded & both are VERY accurate. I wish I could get out to Wyoming and Colorado like I use to and use them again.

Bill, out in your part of the world that would make a fine pronghorn, desert muley and coues deer setup. Looking at it that petrified wood came out of the AZ desert I would guess. I have a set of bookends made by a friend from some he picked up, sawed and finished. Knowing what they weigh the table must weigh about 200 lbs mainly in the pedestal.

Bill-T, It's simply an outstanding setup for a rifle and the wife and I do love that table a bunch. I will also say you got a great looking scope on the rifle, I know I won't part with ours anytime soon.;):D:D:D
