One of my favorite calibers is the 7.65x53MM. In 1961, I bought an excellent, matching M1891 for $16.88 that is in the vault. Today, I saw a yard sale sign that said: "Estate Sale" so I stopped. I saw tires, clothes and furniture until I saw a few firearms. There were a few beat .22 rifles and a rustly double 12 gauge and then I saw a M1909 Argentine for $100.00. I picked it up and saw it had matching numbers and the bore was bright. I peeled off the cash and went home with the rifle.

Today, Lori dog and I test fired this excellent rifle on the backyard range. It shot 2 inches high with my favorite 150 grain jacketed handloads at 100 yards with the battle sight. Ya gotta check out them yard sales.

Is the rifle still original military or has it been sporterized? Take care...
