I tripped across this picture on the computer a few days ago, and thought it deserved a caption.
Two of us dropped these 5 deer on opening day of bow season last year. :D
I was fortunate to take two mature does. One in the morning, and one in the evening.

I've taken 2 and 3 at a time in gun season, but never with the bow.

Also, you may catch heck for the small ones, but I don't have any issues with it at all. When hunting for herd reduction, you shoot was is in range.

About the small ones - We're doing deer removal in an overrun area, and they all must go.

The two on the left would get you 3 free meals and free lodging in a 8x10 room, here in my parts.

It is funny how laws vary from state to state.

I personally have a hard time shooting them if they are wearing spots, but will if non-else are available. Usually I have a chance at a bigger one, and take it!

Me too Alt. They are usually out of spots when our season is open, but every onnce in a while you'll see a late bloomer.

Very easy to carry (not drag) out of the field.

They'd be asking you about that headlight on your head too. Ol Walt be looking like my cousin Vinney down here :D

I'll never forget back a few years a local Dr. published a picture in the Town Talk of a deer he killed with a spear. Baton Rouge sent some boys to his house and picked him up. Where's my banjo. Looking back at Walt's pic- if that exact pic showed up in the Town Talk Central LA, and the caption suggested it was a in state hunt, they'd send the Strike Force to his door.

What do you aim at, if they don't have spots? LOL

Yeah... the headlight. I guess I should photoshop that out!

That was one long day and not getting any shorter at the point that picture was taken. After we tracked two deer in the dark that were taken that afternoon we loaded them all in the truck and off to the hunt-club we went. The two big ones had not even been gutted yet when this pic was taken. I popped them both on the evening hunt. I think I got home about 11pm... tired but happy.

There are 3 on the ATV, Walt as we know it is not saying much taking several deer in one day, it comes down to how much time do you have to do the processing. LOL It was a few years back when John and I dropped 18 deer in 4 days I glad no pictures were taken of that fiasco. We were able to get ride of the deer to people who wanted deer but it was just plan nuts.

Yup, I think if the deer cops stopped you around here at night with those 5 deer, and a head light.....
you may be spending a night or two with Bubba http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/love/love0055.gif

Here's 4 my wife and I got one opener, all with Ruger SBH .44 magnums (3 bucks one doe)...

One of the side benefits to hunting.....

Bacon wrapped Deer back strap, sliced in 1.5" pieces.....marinated overnight in Italian dressing, sea salt, fresh ground pepper, pan seared in olive oil....finished on the grill. Pink center, tender enough to cut with a fork.
