View Full Version : Source of Global Warming Identified

After decades of observation, research, world travel and data gathering, pseudo-scientist Rocky Raab takes the occasion of Earth Day to announce the definitive cause of climate change.
“Climate change is caused by one simple and overlooked thing,” Raab said, “and that is … leaves.”
“For the entire life of the Earth, the emergence of leaves in the Spring cause the temperature to rise. The more leaves that trees hold, the hotter it gets. Then, in the Autumn, when trees drop their leaves, the temperature invariably plummets. The cause and effect is as obvious as the face behind your nose,” he concluded.
The facts are indisputable. Wherever there are leaves, it is warm. Where there are few or no leaves, it is cold. The Amazon and the Antarctic are proof of the theory: one is always hot and the other is always frozen, and the presence or absence of leaves is the difference. Over the rest of the earth, the annual cycle never varies: leaves emerge and temperatures rise; leaves disappear and temperature falls.
Competing ideas are overcomplicated hogwash. “Green” is not the answer, “green” is the CAUSE!

If you take note, you'll see the one thing these climate change articles have in common is to bash Gore. I think it is just like when somebody kills a record sized deer, ( i.e. Mitch Rompola) all these accusations come out of the closet. " Oh he killed it with a spotlight" or " he killed it out of season." Mostly just pure jealousy. People just generally hate when somebody excells. It's the same old thing. I hate to sound like a broken record, but man, it's the same thing over and over and over.

You may be right and I took the offending sentence out. Bottom line is that more and more scientist are starting to back away from the whole concept.

There again, almost every few months they tell us not to eat eggs, then they say it is ok to eat just the white section of the egg, then they come back and say it is ok to eat all the egg. Hey, maybe that is a sign that they really are diligent on research. Might be a good thing.
If a quote is that, a quote, it is not necessarily your thought. It is just a quote. I didn't mean you made fun of Gore. A quote is a quote.

Now I'm confused. Since they're cutting down rain forests in South America along the Amazon, shouldn't it be getting colder there? And if I plant some trees along the back part of my place, instead of pulling in more CO2 and putting out more oxygen, the way the science teachers used to tell us in school, will it just make global warming worse?
Could there be some flawed reasoning somewhere?:D
Maybe mine??

Now Ann there you go taking a simple concept and trying to make it complex!. :D

When I rake leaves I get hot, and when I don't I stay cool. Proof enough for me. There are just too many left field idiots running around loose right now to even bother making fun of Al Gore. We may wind up thinking he woulda been a good choice for President!

I had not thought in those terms, but you may be right.

Lamplighter - I don't dislike Al Bore because he's successful, I dislike him because he was dishonest with us in "An Inconvenient Truth."
That movie is political pseudo-science at it's worst, and it's a travesty that he got a Nobel Prize for it. Makes me wanna puke.
always the same conclusion.

Medical studies are conflicting because they rely on people. People forget, ignore, dis-obey and just plain lie. Have you ever seen a really fat person insist that they "do eat right";)
Also you need to consider the source, rocky raab.

Absolutely true. Of course his beginnings in science come from the book Silent spring. He is more truthful than she was.
