I shot one of those does on Saturday with an arrow equipped with a tracer, and it was excellent! There's absolutely no question about where the arrow hits the deer! There was something really cool about seeing that red streak disappear into the deer right behind the shoulder ... :D
So, apropos of the P&Y question.... Do those count as 'electronics attached to the bow'??
I guess if I shot dark fletchings in bad light, I'd be a huge fan.... On my coupla hits, it has been very reassuring to have a good, clear look at shot placement, and of course when you don't get a pass-through, it's all that much easier. I'm kind of expecting pass-throughs now, though...

I don't know about the P&Y question, but could only guess that it doesn't count.
No matter what the fletching color, I find it very difficult to see where the arrow hit, particularly in low light, under trees, etc. Knowing where the arrow hit is a key piece of information as far as how long I stay in the tree before going to look for the deer.
It's a lot easier at 175 fps :D
I'm thinking to get some of NC's fletching tape and wrap a bunny fur (Zonker) strip behind my fletchings. I always used to do that on my hunting arrows, and it does make them surprisingly visible at recurve speeds, at least. Just for giggles, I ordered a package of Gateway's marabou strips for the same purpose, but have a feeling that they'd last about 3 shots at my new & improved velocitude.
My bright yellow hens are fairly easy to follow even in pretty crappy light, though....

With my older Martin, I didn't have much trouble seeing the fletchings disapear in the deer. I think it also has something to do with how 'zoned in' you are on the shot, sometimes you can see every detail. With the new Bowtech, it's harder to keep up, all of the shots have been under 15yrds though, and that doesn't give you much time to see anything.
