I have a Fox Model BSE 20 ga with a single trigger. Is it possible to change which barrel fires first? There is no barrell select, only a safety. It fires the right barrel first which is tighter choked than the left and I would like it the other way around.

Thanks

Some selective triggers were controled by lateral movement of the safety, check yours in all positions.

You are correct, the Fox BST trigger is non-selective. If it is firing the right barrel first, then that should be the more open choke. That is how my BST operates. A gunsmith might be able to offer some opinions. All the best...

The Savage Fox/311 in your configuration is non-selective. The right barrel is your most open choke and will fire first each time. The double trigger 311's allowed you to select which barrel.

Thanks,

Yea I have other guns with a safety/selector. They are also marked O or U.

I had to have a single trigger and now regret that decision. Someone along the way may have been at this gun and opened the left barrel. I want to hunt with it and I suppose I could load the second barrel with a higher octane shell with bigger shot in the unlikely event that I miss with the first shot. ;)

Good one, O.

Have an AYA Matador (two triggers) that was choked Mod & Full, use it most for grouse so had it opened to Skeet and IC.

Unfortunately the dope opened the left barrel to Skeet. Took it to Ahlmann's in Minnesota and they reversed the triggers so the front fired the left barrel.

They should be able to change the setup in your gun.

Best wishes.

Cool - I had Ahlman's do a Model 12 stock for me back in the 70's. It's nice to see they are still around.

O-: Yesterday I was in the Lacey Cabela's and they had a Sterlingworth for 1200 bucks. Is that a good deal? All the old Parkers were pretty well worn.

I was looking for a Model 12 to get high grade wood for a project but no luck.

tj-: Where do you grouse hunt? I did well hunting the Whitewater & miss it. We also got a few birds around Ottertail when up there duck hunting.

For grouse I hunt the public land north of Hinckley, MN. Once the leaves are down the grouse and woodcock action can be pretty good. Due to various things haven't been up there yet this year, but the reports are that the grouse population is the highest in several years.

Good luck.
