Anybody got one of these? I'm thinking of getting one for MT this fall as place we have rented has lots of snakes. Concerned about recoil for wife.

Senior Coot......Let her carry a 38spl or 357 with snake shot loads of #6's. A small pistol to wear on her hip would be better than toting that long gun around all day long.

A 410 is a bit much in a handgun for a woman. I would give her a .38 Special in a 4-inch K frame revolver stoked with snake loads. I use 4.5 grains of Unique, a gas check bevel up on top of the powder, a dose of #7.5 shot and a gas check on top, bevel down, and apply a roll crimp. The load looks like a brass shotgun shell, which is what it really is. Our snakes die from it.

Be sure to wear eye protection when using shot loads because shot can, and will, bounce back from rocks, hard ground, etc.
