Air Soft: Worth a Doodle?

Are Air Soft guns any good? I was thinking about using them to set up a shooting gallary for my nephews. Will they pop a balloon? How about a water balloon? Are they any good?

To me airsoft is like watching porn without a woman. They look good, (some are almost impossible to tell from the real thing), but that's it. If I was a kid I would want one. But now It's better to have the real thing. Bill T.

If you got a powerful enough airsoft gun you could probably pop a balloon if it was filled to the extreme. I'm not so sure you could pop a water balloon though. If you are setting up a shooting gallery for you kids then a pellet rifle might be better. It's more accurate and much cheaper. And as a bonus you could use it to take out some pests around the house. If the range you want to set up is inside go with an airsoft gun, but don't be cheap and the cheapest one you see. It will shoot about 5 inch groups at 10 feet. I have heard that good spring airsoft "snipers" will keep three inch groups at 150 feet. Hope I helped.
