Highs are finally dropping below 90 and I am ready to go hunting and fishing.

Next weekend I am scheduled to do a trip down to the mouth of the Navasota River and camp on a sandbar before paddling back up the Brazos to the vehicles. There will be some targeting big alligator gars but I think days I will take what comes and at night jugline and line sit for cats.

I discovered the 10th - 12th will be a three day weekend and trying to set something up for it.

I would like to do something like that behind that dam, but I have too many irons in the fire with the camp up North and home projects. Everybody seems to always be busy too. We did alot of that late 80's to early 90's. You can still come make a hunt whenever. Straight shot East on I-20 . I'll even leave you a key for the camp if you want to make a hunt when I'm gone. Public land.

Thanks for the offer but this plate's filling fast already right here is Texas. I renewed the waterproofing on 3 of my tents today and and have 5 more tents to go between at least two kayak weekends in October. November I am already committed to 2 weekends of hunting, a mid-week trip that will either be hunting or fishing plus a weekend long memorial kayak trip. Then my wife has these strange notions I should stay home somewhere in there and get a few things done. Then she actually thinks I should spend at least part of Thanksgiving weekend with her. :D

Well this weekend rained out. Next weekend is to be a 3 day trip from a base camp which should allow enough equipment to outlast any weather.:D
