From the 35mm days. Me & my 25.06 Jan 2, 2001 having missed my opportunity at my once-in-a-lifetime buck due to closed scope caps, I set up camp on the primary scrape cluster I was watching and he came along.

December 29, 2000 - I remember LSU I think was playing Ol Miss ? Rose Bowl ? They were in this snow too just West of me.
Just on top of the ridge in the back is where this took place.
In the first pic, that is a VHF handheld radio setting on the camp porch with the antenna sticking up near the muzzle of the rifle. Just looks like a tag.

Me thinks you have your football history a little mixed up.
The Rose Bowl is in Pasadena, California, more than just a little west of you in Louisiana...and not likely any snow.
In Dec of 2000, LSU played Ga Tech in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta...somewhat EAST of you.
Miss State and Texas A&M played in a snowstorm in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport...probably the game you were thinking of.

I was hoping someone would correct me on the football. I am not a fan, but I know about that game- just didn't know exactly who was playing. I remember seeing it on the camp tv . I was wondering why the 19 thousand acre WMA was empty, and I assumed all the hunters stayed home to watch that. They were also afraid of the cold too. Oh well, time to do it all over again.

I got several stands I need to go get and move around to some new properties I've picked up.
I seem to be working way too much these days.

I hear ya. Today while behind the dam putting out the stand, a Doctor called. I bid on his A/C replacement, and he called to say start when you want.:eek: High end 2 stage Carrier system. And he said after that one, we are going to replace the other 4 systems :eek::eek:
I hope I get to deer hunt.

SNOW DAY --- Tonight's game marks the first time the Aggies have played in snow since at least the 1960s, according to A&M senior associate athletic director Billy Pickard who has been at every Aggie game since the Gene Stallings era (1965-71). Pickard recalls a sleet/snow mix with no accumulation at the 1991 Texas Christian game in Fort Worth and snow flurries with no accumulation at the 1984 Arkansas game in Fayetteville, Ark. The snow was a first for the Independence Bowl, which has had its share of bad weather but never had snow for a game.
Miss State won.

You got me beat by a mile. I'd be done with all that accomplished. Probably would by a condo on the Alabama coast .
Yall oughta book a condo one summer from Brett/Robinson around Orange Beach or Destin and check that out. The night life is nice too.
