After the shipping & delivery fiasco on those arrows just before the trip, I now have 2 dozen brand new arrows at the house. I was (eventually) so happy with the folks that I bought them from that I was seriously considering just having them go ahead and bill me for the ones that arrived too late....

But is 2 dozen like a lifetime supply, or...?

I'd be very happy to not pay shipping on my 'next' dozen arrows (and also to send the 'extras' back) and just call these a bargain. It wouldn't hurt to be $90 less in debt right now, either, so I'm just wondering if I'll ever get to that second dozen in this lifetime.

Whaddya think - should they stay or should they go?

Shoot them first.

If they are what you intend to use for a long time, then it would be silly to send them back.

Pick up six to nine b-heads in a durable design that you like, and have your set up locked in. I like that system better than changing eveything every year just to swap out parts and spend money.

I don't know that I've had a full 2 doz, but I have had 21 CE200's. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have the full 2doz though, imo.

Well, I did shoot the first dozen - I wasn't planning to crack open the box on the second unti lI know I'm keepin' 'em..... I know this is going to sound like the kind of BS I can't stand to listen to, but honest-to-John, these Beman 'Hunters' with the Vi-Brake inserts really did shoot into about half the group size I was getting with the 'Bowhunters' without

Looked just like the "with vs. without' pics on the Sims site

Too bad I don't get the sense that the Limbsavers I bought were anywhere near as effective.....

Ironic, though - the arrows should be finishing out at almost exactly 5 grains/pound o' draw, so they're arguably too light for Elk - even though LB's shooting the same shaft and got a complete pass-through on last year's cow with the 2-blade Stingers. So maybe the arrows are too light, but the bow's sure as shootin' too dang heavy!

OK, so that's one vote for stashing the box someplace safe :D

I consider anything less than 6, 'running low'.

You can't have too many. :D

I was just browsing through the Cabela's archery catalog and I saw arrow cases that hold 3 dozen or something' crazy.:confused::eek::confused:

So I think I'm within reason with 2. Especially considering the grief and aggravation I just went through heading out for an Elk hunt with 3 beat-up shafts....

I don' wanna be doin' that one again.

O' course, when Pope & Young headed out for a week in the hills, they figured they were undersupplied with fewer than 6 or 8 dozen, and that the trip had been something of a bust if they came home with more than 10 or so.

Man, that sounds like fun!

I think I'm keepin' these :D
