"Scar Face" deer decoy...

For my birthday the kids got me this deer decoy, Primos "Scar Face". In 40+ years of hunting I've never used a decoy....how is it done and what should I expect?

Plan to use it in bow season during the rut (Nov)....wasn't sure what techniques worked best.

I have no real idea but might start by placing it to draw deer closer for a shot by visual attraction. You might also remove the antlers (assuming you can w/o permanent damage) and have a doe in conjunction with an early season fawn bleat.
