Hey guys, anyone else out throwing shot with your smoothies?

Regular dove season has closed, but we now have year round open season on the Eurasian doves here in AZ. With my rocklock fusil de chasse, seems the older I get, safer the birds become.

High temperatures are dropping fast here along the Colorado River and the wife is itching to start the desert ATV riding season. We both sure enjoy those 4-wheel drive mules for roaming our backyard, always something new to explore, so much to see, so little time.

I will soon be headed up to the high country on the Mogollon Rim to see if I can get my fix for tasseled eared (Abert's) tree rats, biscuits and gravy. Has become a yearly pilgrimage, for this old country boy still loves his squirrel hunts, harkens me back to my childhood and frosty morning woods with my first .22, love it.

Have added a early years in Alaska section to Home Page, was right after we had moved to Alaska and things were just a wee bit rough for a while:

All take care and enjoy the moment

How does that Fusil throw patched balls?
Like the outfit too. Primitive style hunting put the challenge back in the game. Sometimes I get sick looking at catalogs with all the latest high-tech gizmos and gear. To me that is not what hunting is all about.

thats all i use anymore for birds .
my tullie has taken grouse , chucker , doves , quail and one turkey .
I also have take a mule deer and a nice cow elk with it .

Recently I completed a club butt in 28 gage for a customer and am now working on an early English trade gun for another .
While I really loved my tullie , I sure like the way this smaller bore hangs .
So I sold my tullie a couple weeks back and will this nex spring be replacing it with a club butt in 28 gage .
Ill save my Flintlock SXS for turkey and such
