POSP scopes

I was thinking about throwing one of those Russian made 8x42 POSP scopes on my 91/30. I found the "military issue" scope for about $170. Does anyone have any experience with this scope?

I am not familiar with that scope. Is it mounted in place of the rear sight or is it mounted over the receiver? If it is "military issue", it may work ok. I saw some PE and PU WWII Russian sniper rifles a while back with receiver mounts.

Badger, this particular scope mounts directly over the receiver with the use of a side plate mount. The mount is $47. You can find the scope at www.tickbitesupply.com it is under optics and at the bottom of the page under Russin scopes. It is the last of the three scopes. Neither of the two side plate mounts pictures in the above mentioned page are the mount I am considering using.
