I suggest we arm our guys with what would appear to be the most reliable dirt, mud, and cold gun ever made - the AK47.

The Direct Impingment gas system was only used on the Swedish Ljungman M42, the Hakim and the M16/M4. The reliable semi/full autos use a PISTON. Ala the AK47, AKM etc. Direct impingement is a system discarded after first use, except by the U.S.

I wish the government would simply stop screwing around and issue our guys these. End of problem. End of story. Bill T.

Bill T. ..........Now have you seen the new one that CZ has out on the market? I took one of these and checked this military weapon out for parts and accuracy. The rifle will shoot 2 to 3 inch groups at 100 yards and is not made out of stamped parts. It is a better made rifle than the AK-47. However, they are a little pricey at $850 dollars US money.

I like everything about it except for the stock. It looks like it's made from pressed sawdust, with a little clear Urethane thrown in for good measure. I'm sure it won't be long before someone makes an aftermarket replacement for it. Nice gun. I'm in a good mood this afternoon. I capped off 50 rounds of .300 Win. Mag. this morning out of my new Savage. Those 12" gongs were sitting ducks at 500 yards. Now a little Burbon on the rocks, and I'm a happy man! Bill T.
