Injured Deer photos....

Each year I find a few deer that survive hazards, either man made or natural. Here's a few pics of some tough critters...

Note left front leg joint....

Found this one caught in a fence and released it, no remaining tags to legally dispatch it, so now its a three legged deer.

This one was taken last year after another hunter punched a hole in his ear and blew away part of the antler.....

That first pic with the bad knee buck reminds me of one I killed in 2005. He had the exact same injury, looked like a basball stuck under the skin, and it made him leave a distinctive track. That foot planted with the hoof tips poking straight down.

Thhat weakness really helped me get him, eventhough he was a healthy deer in all othher aspects, and had no limp or other trouble getting around.
