I shoot left-handed and have always used traditional stocks. I am thinking of acquiring a right-handed 300 mag Weatherby Lazermark with the Monte Carlo stock. I read an article that says the Monte Carlo stock is designed to deflect recoil away from the face. It made me think if recoil is being redirected, it must be going somewhere. btw, the article was by Chuck Hawk, and it seems people either love him or hate. I tend to agree with him more often than not, but I can't comment on the physics involved with rifle recoil
If the article is true, wouldn't it actually direct recoil towards the face of a left-handed shooter? I don't want to break my face!
btw, I have been lurking on this forum for many months but this is my first post. I have been blessed by the wealth of information on this site.
