Has anyone seen or used one of these scopes... I have only heard of them via the web and the outdoor channel....
If i were buying "a long range scope" then for about 20% more money i'd opt for a nightforce scope without hesitation.

What are your thoughts?

Yeah SWAMP!!! However YOU would NEVER be able to hit those mule deer and elk at 900 yards. LOL:D :D :D
You can only do accomplish that particular task with a Huskemaw rifle scope!

Good choice. When ever I am going to buy something, I take a look at it like I might want to sell it used in a couple of years. Name brand recognition will return more of your original investment dollar and it didn't get a good name brand recognition by being of poor quality.

I can honestly say i havent heard any complaints about NF scopes..... they appear to be built like a tank... and the optics look damn close to that of a swarovski... the people that i've spoke to who own them appear to be hooked on them.... i dont see a huskey scope in my future but if the economy improves i'd love to have a NF scope on something like a cooper in 243 win...

I wasn't willing to take the risk on the Husky. I bought the 5.5-22 x 56mm Nightforce and it has performed very well, although I've used it only at the range so far. It is heavy and large so I wouldn't want it on the average mountain/backcountry hunting rifle. However, I'm hoping I can use it to take some nuisance pigs that collect in a very large field at a ranch I hunt.

Swamp they are indeed built like a TANK and have the price tag of a 747 to go along with their tuffness. I have never failed to be able to aquire my big game while hunting in various places around this world, using a Leupold or Bushnell rifle scope.
I suppose I am in the minority who believe that you just don't have to hock your house & car to be able to purchase a hunting scope for your Winchester or Remington rifle. Now as matter of fact, the last 5 rifle scopes I have purchased have been Bushnell brand rifle scopes, 4 being the 3200-Elite series and one a 4200-Elite series. I saved closed to $100 per rifle scope over the same quality and type, verses the Leupold, who by the way are pricing themselves right out of the working mans budget for the most part.
Those Bushnell 3200-Elite Series rifle scopes were in 5.5 X 15 power, with Mil-Dot and turrets to boot. I can do the same thing with them as you can a Nightforce or Huskemaw rifle scope. You still need a good range finder (Leica my choice) and simple math, then one must be a very good marksman, knowing how to dope the wind. ;) :) :D
