I don't follow baseball like I used to years ago but last night I saw something I have not seen in a baseball game in many many years. I watched a starting pitcher go all 9-innings and almost shut down a powerhouse team called the New York Yankees by golly. The Yankee's scoed a run on an error but that was no fault of the starting pitcher named LEE who had an era of .740 for the year prior to the series.

I have never seen the Yankee's A-ROD strike out everytime he came up to bat!

The Philly's piture named LEE was outstanding, reminded me of the days that Steve Carolton, Bob Gibson and White Ford pitched in the big leagues. It was a true pleasure to watch a man who could control that baseball and put it anywhere around that plate he wanted to with speed or off speed pitches.

GO GET EM PHILLIES GO!!!:D:D:D

I lost the signal in the bottom of the 8th tonight.

Good games so far. Outstanding pitching.

There were a couple rough calls in the 8th and 9th innings, but it was all Yankee's last night either way.

I think the umpiring sucks so far.

It almost looks like their fear of making a bad call causes them to do exactly that. ... and someone PLEASE give the home plate umpire some glasses.

The strikes and balls are hitting the same locations. I think he's flipping a coin on some of those calls.

My feelings on pro-baseball and other sports teams, is that their should be a CAP on the amount of money a ballclub or owner can spend to put his team together.

This BS that the Yankee's do in going after a player with more money is a cheap shot at most. The Yankees's pay out over 200,000 Million dollars for ballplayers. I guess it is a lot easier to field a championship team when you have all them money you need to get the job done.

In a way, I can agree with you. In another way, not.

Consider a young player's dream. When you're the best, you will play for the Yankees and the whole family and all the relatives will be rich. :)

Money talks and the Yankees are the perfect example, always have been. Not so bad though. The ball players are really good.

I didn't like the umpires helping the pitchers though. I saw em call a lot of balls strikes but I never saw em call a strike a ball.
