I'll have to post pic's Tomorrow when I get back in the shop.

Good hunt in Va. 5 doe's entered the field about 830 am then they left I rattled and bleeted and looked back over my shoulder when I turned back around this big Boady 6 point was stand 50 yards out. Thought he was an 8. Took the shot with my 50 saw his leg go out from under him and he ran to the top of the hill stoped and then made a mad dash into the hedge tree row and I heard the crash. Sweet. He's down.

This evening in a back yard I was told this big 8 was coming through about 5:30 I waited for him and he showed up but walked between me and the house , no shot. He's nice though about a 23" spread. I ratteld again and I saw about 4 deer run across the power lines towards me nice big 10 point dogging 3 doe's. He got to with 50 yards but had other things on his mind.

Maybe next time.

Where you live, Dave, I'm always surprised that you can afford to burn a tag on a piddly ol' six-point ;)

GF , in Md just other side DC but I also hunt 2 farms down in the middle of Va in the Mountains.

The exit wound is what is seen. Hit the right shoulder and turned down to exit taking the front gut. Not a nice dressing scene. LOL

Good-lookin' deer, Dave -looks pretty close to the size of my '2X4' 6-point from last year's effort....

Funny, though... I had assumed that this was another Xbow deer for you, so I was pretty surprised that you had taken such a long shot as 50 whole, stinkin' yards, but now you're 'excused' ;)

My son Jarrod thought he would do a good deed and clean the fridge out. It was a great deed till I went to get the meat from the 6 point I have sliced up to jerk. Yep it was tossed out with the rest of the stuff that he thought was bad. LOL That almost as bad and someone one time pulling the plug to the freezer and forgetten to plug it back in. :eek:
