Well, I pushed it to it's furthurest limit so far. Got the John Deere mower out and cut a lane furthur, now at approx. 165 yards, based on a 100 yard actual measurement taken last year. I am shooting clay pigeons now. I had to make one move, 20 clicks left, then I use the duplex reticle for elevation, putting the thick/thin joint on top the pigeon. Shooting prone with Harris Bipod, I am hitting bullseye every shot. This rifle is unbelievable.
Model # in title wrong- it is Model 60SS, no way to edit it.
UPDATE: I went back to the 100 yd mark and moved 20 clicks back rgt. It was off. Time for a better scope. Anybody know a good, repeatable target scope in the neighborhood of 6x20-32 0r 40mm ?

Depends upon price range. I have a 10/22 with a Simmons 6-18 x 42mm that works fine. However, it doesn't hold a candle to the 5.5-22 x 56mm Nightforce on my AR10-T.

but do you know for sure that it is repeatable ? Meaning, if you click off with the turrets, and click back the same amount, will it be back on every time ?? I mean, you personally, have you done this with the Simmons, because it is on sale right now ?

There is nothing wrong with my scope. Yesterday I ignored the wind, which was left to right at approx. 15 mph according to John Plaster, author of the Ultimate Sniper. Having to move 20 clicks in a 65 yard ground move should have been a tip-off.
Re-shot 100 & 165 this morning. No wind. Put surveyor ribbon up to gage wind. No windage problem whatsoever. Silly rookie mistake. Groups at 100 were almost one-holer. At 165 group was 3/4 inch.

I shoot my CZ 452 with 4x scope at 165yds pretty often, shooting a 7" steel gong. I use the joint of the duplex reticle like you do for hold over, and just estimate the wind and hold off, Kentucky style. The scope is dialed in for 50yds. Great fun, but I wouldn't use it on anything live much past 100yds myself.
I think the furthest shot with it to date on vermin was 82yds on a possum. CCI .22lr subsonic hollowpoints flopped him right there with a center neck hit. Many g-hogs and crats out to 70yds.
I realize that I have more faith in the killing power of a .22lr than most folks do. It is because when I was young and impressionable I saw relatives "do the impossible" with them, from hitting moving targets to flat dropping bigger critters than it should at 115yds+.
