A while back following Alan McDaniel's lead I smoked two hams from a fawn of the year. As feared I got carried away and marinated it more than I liked. Though others enjoyed it I was not pleased with it myself.

As it turned out we only ate one hindquarter at that time so I froze the other and comtemplated what to do with it. Taking it out this morning I pulled it tonight as I would a smoked fresh pork ham for BBQ. It was mixed in sauce and is now in the fridge melding the flavors. Some will be going to camp with me Tuesday and the rest left for my wife and son that night.
