I will head out early Tuesday to meet a friend in San Angelo. We will try to get in on a cull hunt as standbys . If unsuccessful I will also have two fishing kayaks for the three lakes and the river in that area. Either way it should make a memorable trip to mark our 15th season together.:)

One of these day, one of these days! I'm going to live a carefree life, but it ain't today, and it probably ain't tomorrow.
Good luck, either way!

I am afraid there is no story. My buddy and I agreed that if both did not draw we would go fishing. I drew but he did not. I turned mine back so another hunter could go.
We set camp, broke out the kayaks and fishing tackle proceeding out to catch bass that were just under legal size, but fun on light tackle and 6 lbs test.:)

Shame you couldn't make the hunt. I understand the West and North TX deer are moving well. But I am sure you had a great time just being outdoors.
I love to catch bass on light line. After over-powering them for years with pool cue rods and 20 lb test in the flooded timber, it is nice to see them fight and jump when hooked.
