The Leonids shower of 1833, for example, saw as many as a hundred thousand meteors an hour—equal to an average of 30 meteors a second, Gyuk said.

What a bust that was around here. I was standing out in 27*F frosted grass for 1/2 hour in moccasins & no socks (4 to 4:30, peak was suppose to be 4:45) and seen a total of 2. One of the 2 was so dim I almost missed it. The sky was almost perfectly clear.
Maybe I had the wrong channel on  :p
There was a deer out in my back yard that was awful upset that I was out there at 4am. It was doing a "WHEEEZZBAWWWL" for about 2 minutes trying to get me to leave :)
When I finally bawled back to it, it left (Was it something I said  )
EDIT... I went back out at 4:45... 0 Who predicted this, the channel 4 weather man? He NEVER gets anything right :)
