Poor kid is never going to top this one. This buck scores 203 Typical NET. These pictures were taken in front of the Cabela's store in Prairie du Chien, WI. The hunter shown in the picture is a 15 year old Williams boy from Millville, WI. It was shot during a youth hunt last month.

Once you've been to the top, no where to go but down, sad.....he'll need to hunt another game species.
We had a 15 year old take this one a few years back, with a net non-typical Boone and Crockett score of 307 5/8, Tony Lovstuen's 38-point Iowa monster is the world's biggest whitetail ever shot by a hunter.

Luck was on his side. Like you said, He will probably never get anything better or even see one alive.

Yep! He's gonna have to hunt just because he loves to hunt.... the odds are he's never gonna get a better buck than that.

Twanger I been waiting all my life for such a buck....Wow!!! I suppose just the thought a getting to see a great buck in the woods, kept me coming back every hunting season. I hope the kid keeps on hunting in years to come, very hard to top a 203 score. A buck of a lifetime no doubt.;):)
Is it just me, or is it a little strange to stop off at Cabela's on your way home from a hunt?:confused::confused:
I dunno... maybe there's a game check station there??
I guess you can't say he'll never get a bigger one, but not very many people ever have....

Prairie du chien is about 14 miles from where this kid lives. As far as I know there is no registration station in Millville but there is one in Prairie du chien, not at Cabelas however. If I shot a buck of this caliber I might be prone to show it off a little too.

I understand what you mean. I think I am glad it took me 31 years to kill a real big one. I heard that family was offerred big dollars for the rack and turned it down.
When I shot my biggest about 15 years ago, it did change the way I looked at bucks. I still hunt more days than ever, but definitely know what a mature buck looks like. Most of the young bucks look tiny after the initial glimpse.
I am hunting the same pasture and hope to see another example of those genetics.
