The apple, pecan and pumpkin pies were baked yesterday and the whole cranberry sauce made. Later will come the cornbread dressing, turkey gravy, fruit salad, an assorted lot of fresh vegetables and dinner rolls. With a 21 lbs turkey there will be far too much for even seven of us.
After dinner we will strip the turkey bare and package the meat is quart freezer bags to go to the freezer. Over the next three to four months it and the Chistmas turkey will come out a little at a time for turkey vegetble or noodle soup, turkey and gravy over rice, turkey alfredo and much more at the rate of once every week or two. I will cook a pork roast tomorrow to finish the dressing and vegetables. Any fruit salad will probably be gone tonight or in the morning as snack or breakfast.
