Took the boat out yesterday and the old 25hp Merc never ran better. Been a couple months since I fired it up but she started 2nd pull and ran like a dream all afternoon. I couldn't ask for more.

I took Israel out first and we used popping bugs and the flyrods down the creek for a couple hours. I was catchin small ones right along but poor Israel woan holdin his mouth right or sumthin. I think the score was like 30-0. Caught only one nice one which I kept.

Then back to the dock and picked up little Adrien for his first boat fishing venture. We tried the cats in some of my best nearby spots in the river but none of us could raise nary a bite all the way till dark. Used worms and stinkbait but not a nibble.

We had a ball though ... watchin Adrien have a ball. He fished, played with the worms, played with the fish I caught earlier, fished, and then decided he was ready to go home ... before the alligators come out. ;)

It was a good day. :)

Gotta love a good running boat motor.

I have a '68 johnson 9.9hp that just plain runs. My wife can pull start it with ease. When I bought it, the man said it hadn't been started in 8-9yrs. I hooked gas up and it started on the fourth pull.....SOLD!

On the water I've never had to pull it more than twice.:)

My big boat, we'll I'd rather not talk about that one.

It's probably a good thing momma was not around! :)

If you were up in that swampy cypress creek you have photoed in the past then it could not help but be a great afternoon!
