I got on stand about 3:30 and around 4:45 the tall 4 point came in he's is only a year old. The 2 small spikes and about 4 doe's came in then I see this 8 point in the back he spooked and bolted so I rattled and he came running in. The only reason I shot hi was because he was tending the 4 doe's and waiting his rack is 13.5 wide and spindly, not the quality I have been use to seeing so he was fairly close so I put a spine shot on him and then a follow up shot.

I could not get my son to come help me drag him out up a big hill so I took the chance of driving my 4x4 van to the back , down a steep hill and to the deer , getting out was a little tricky. I had to use the other side of the property where the hill is not so steep and angle my way up. After 4-5 days of rain I was holding my breath but it's all good. I saved my back and breathing under controlled.

Pic's tomorrow.

Multiple deer, + rattling in...

Sounds like a very fun day. :)
I wish I could have driven to the one I shot this year.
I would have avoided 2 days of hand & leg cramps :p

Nice Dave.
I didn't hunt with a bow at all this weekend.
Next week!
At least I got in some much needed practice with the bow tonight.
I get rusty too fast.

Congrats again. Looks like he just didn't have the antler genes that everyone hopes for eventhough he was an old buck.

In that case, I must've missed out on Dave's little joke there.....:o I thought that was a kind of odd-looking distribution for fat, but it never occurred to me that that was what it was...

Where's my 'barf' smiley?

I saw that sack when I was getting the Hyde off and tried to miss it. All I did was nick it. That thing exploded out of there. I then broke out the Saws all and quarter him up and off to the farm with him.

GF I glad you see my since of humor. LOL
