I had the strangest thing happen today. When I got home from work and carried my backpack into the house, I found that a new handgun from the local gun dealer had jumped into my bag and followed me home! My Wife won't believe me and she thinks I spent my whole Christmas bonus on it! Now who would do something like that??

Anyways, It's a Bond Arms Snake Slayer 410/45. Now I have to admit that if someone was to take a look at my internet browsing history, maybe this gun might show up at some point in the past, but that's just a coincidence. We have no choice. It will refuse to go back, so we must allow it to become a new member of our family. With time, I think the lady of the house will enjoy shooting the 410 gauge of this well built Texas handgun but the 45 Cal bullet seems to be better suited for the Alaskan Grizzly!

Well, it is now over 2 hours since the discovery of our castaway and things are beginning to settle down. May be I'll wait until tomorrow to report to the first lady that I have discovered that our new family member has very close relatives that can be interchanged for a fraction of the cost of a new handgun. Imagine that! Interchangeable calibers. Those Texans think of everything!:D

Well, congratulations on your new acquisition... I think. I'm not sure that I'd want to be you tomorrow however. I can't tell where you are from, but I know that the Marital Property Act of 1976 here in Wisconsin has always cost me. It says that what ever I would buy for me, that she could get something of equal value. You might want to soften the blow some with a new purse or a pair of shoes for her first or your castaway could be from in a broken home. It's not like the gun has an expiration date on it, so the timing has to be right. The thing with girl people is that you and I think about as far out ahead as day after tomorrow. She has probably had plans for that Christmas bonus check since last July. Sweetness always had kind of a lopsided idea of equal too. I could get a new gun and she would get like a new Buick. Let us know how the sales pitch goes.

I just re-read your post and realize that the cat might be already out of the bag. In my experience, they don't much like those kind of surprises. It does kind of remind me of the $130. Surfire flashlight that I bought for myself. I was expressing some guilt to the lady at the check out counter and she said, "You don't think that your wife tells you about every new pair of shoes that she buys, do you?"

Hi Bushman, Actually things are going better than expected. Last night she told me not to fall asleep with that gun in my hands because I couldn't set it down, and this morning she said good morning to me when she got up! I told her that she could spend a little of her Christmas bonus on herself if she wants!:D
