... the barrel has corn in it.

They have a hole chewed in the bottom.

:D
I use the ones with the big plastic yellow pan or trigger on it. You don't have to bait those, just set them business end touching the wall or in a corner where they run and they find 'em.;)

Hey NC where do you put the tag on them? The ears look a little small.
How about around the tail?:D:D:D

45 minutes to get a kill shot from the time he found it kind of surprises me. I see that is AM, were you using a flash that might have scared them a little? I always wondered about that with trail cams and if it spooked a mouse, it might spook a deer.

Those little bastards put me out of a dog food sideline that I had. I worked at a place where we made industrial plastic bag making machines and because we had to test the machines before we shipped them, I had a never ending supply of garbage bags. We had a local grocery warehouse that got all the broken bag dog and cat food and was happy to get rid of it for free. My buddy was the president of the local animal shelter and after I gave them all they needed, I still had thousands of pounds of the stuff. Pretty easy to undercut the lowest local dog food prices out there when you have zero overhead. Then the mice found me and my garage operation turned into a mouse feeding station.

I looked at that and the series of pics that followed and concluded the mouse was caught just after the last pic of him alive was snapped. The camera didn't have time to reset before he was caught. Apparantly catching one kept the other mice away for at least some time but as we see, they have no problem eating around a dead comrade. In fact, when it gets real cold they often eat the victim. :D

I've got 4 or 5 more since then. :)

that's cool. NC, The mice were getting to the corn in the shop so I put the bags up on a table with medal legs so they could not get to it. Then put a tall plastic trash can in a corner in the office next to the brick wall and I would get 12-15 mice in one night. Then the Black snake moved into the loft and he got the rest of them. Now the mice and back and Jarrod just got a Boa so we will trap them for the snake.
