I've had my Knight Tbolt loaded with a 385gr buffalo bullet for several weeks and Saturday afternoon fired it to check the accuracy ... and see if the 70gr of 777 would still fire.

I just walked out in the field and propped up the board. It happened range at 38yds. Looks like as long as I keep the gun dry, a load in it for extended periods can still be relied on. Notice the unpicked soybeans in the field. It's been so wet this fall, the farmer can't get in the field.
I cleaned the barrel and loaded a 460gr NE bullet for comparison.

Cleaned the barrel again, loaded another 460 and went huntin.
Sittin in the stand kinda daydreaming when movement caught my eye at the edge of my fallow and grown up food plot. I happened to be looking right at it and didn't move at all. Good thing, because the doe that walked out has been around and obviously had me made from the very start. Interesting to me because no deer(that I know of) has seen me in this stand since I put it there and I was hidden pretty well. She walked on out never taking her eyes off me so I stayed stone still. Four lesser deer followed her out but she made a turn headin to the downwind side of me. I knew she would not rest until she identified whatever it is in that tree. Fine, I deliberately have some small trees in the plot to break things up and give me cover to move. Sure nuff she went behind one of these spots and when she emerged on the other side, still looking at me, she was in the scope. She stopped in the classic broadside pose and I took the shot. Turned out to be 38yds again. Ironic.
Knowing she was wound up tight, I brought the crosshairs up from her heart and went thru both lungs. I was hoping for drt but didn't get into enough shoulder and she took off at the shot. Smoke and deer running everwhere but I was pretty sure I had her lined out and then I heard her crash ... twice, then what sounded like a kick back in the thick. Ankle deep water standing almost everywhere from all the rain Fri night but the blood trail was not problem to follow. It was all over the reeds and trees along the way. She'd ran about 50yds.
