Can anyone tell me how the ballistics compared when going head to head with a 243 Win vs a 243 Ackley Improved?

interesting.
I noticed somebody mentioned something about the standard .243 feeding better with the more sloped shoulder, but I'm wondering - wouldn't that be a problem for a push-feed like the Remington but a complete non-issue in a CRF rifle?

I don't see how crf would solve a feeding issue in a situation where the round doesnt easily slide into the breech...

My reasoning goes like this... Once the extractor has a grip on the cartridge, it pretty well has to stay aligned with the bore; the slope of the shoulder can't be a problem if the round is going straight into the chamber.
But..... If the extractor doesn't get ahold of the cartridge until the shoulder has already hung up on/dragged across, then it wouldn't help you any to use a CRF, 'cuz it's too late...
So that was my thinkin'...
