I read today on one of my groups that the IGFA record of 22 lbs 4 oz has been matched by a Japanese fisherman using a bluegill for bait. According to the statement the IGFA is recognizing the catch

I read the headline but didn't look at the particulars.
I figure an international org/club should recognise it.
I wonder if he was using a cane pole?

Thanks Swamp, since the original was eaten right away we have no idea what it looked like. Maybe this will help give an idea what it may have looked like.
