I went out today to look for primers. The truck is supposed to come around 1:00 PM ET. I got there at 7:00 no normal large rifle primers! I could have gotten bench rest but I don't feel like paying the premium. Granted there was a plethora of pistol and small rifle primers...

I was in a gun shop today near Harrisburg that had a good selection of CCI, Federal and Remington primers, but none from Winchester (except shotgun). Take care...

The gun shops I visit are getting in backorders of most powders and primers. The bullet selection is getting tight. All the best...

the only reason we have bullets and powder is the erroneous overhead and markup. Holy cats...its like 40 bucks for a box o' bullets

Has anyone tried the Wolf primers? Due to the lack of primers ( I use Federal) I bought two thousand. I have shot about 600 now and have had no FTF's and my reloads have been very consistant. The best of it all was that they were $25 per thousand. Large magnum Handgun.

Well I've got the dies, powder, bullets, primers, and a new unfired gun because
I can get the brass that's on back order.
As a reloader I just can't bring myself to go out and pay some rediculous price for
some factory ammo just so I can shoot this new gun and have some brass.
I know the day after I did that the back ordered brass would show up at my door. LOL

purple heart,
I think that is the way that everyone feels right now. Factory ammo has gone thru the roof and people are still buying it! I think that someone has to either find out why everything is so darn expensive or get the ammo companies off their high horse and down onto our level. By the way, what is your new gun chambered in?

Hey Sharpshooter94,
My new toy is chambered in 22-250.
I've nevver been a savage man but everyone tells me they put out a shooter
so not ever having a dedicated varmint gun and caliber I went with a savage
model 12 in 22 250. Now if I can just get some brass. LOL

Go to http://ammobrasstrader.com/forums/?page=1 & join (free). A lot of nice, honest folks there who will be glad to trade (or sell) you once-fired brass.
