what do you use and why? Results? Accuracy?
Since loose powder is cheaper, easier to ignite, & able to be pre-measure in precise amouns, I can see no advantage in using pellets.

Hey, If I had not seen Alan's reply I would have said the same thing. Why would you want to pay more for less powder, and not be able to tweek your loads by a couple of grains or so? I use 777 ffg in three in-lines shooting 460 grain Conicals or 250 grain XTP's and very happy with the results.

I see the pellets top shelf in walmart so someone must buy them.

I think the reason people buy them is so they don't have to take to extra 30 seconds to measure the powder. I believe that I will use loose powder. Possibly pyrodex of 777 I'm still not sure.

Loose powder allows you to work up a more accurate load than you can typically with pellets too.
