I just picked up my newest rifle that Mark Bansner rebarreled for me. I had him put on a Lilja barrel in 280 Remington on my Sako 85 (started life as a 30-06) Since I wanted one and Sako didn't make one...
Now if I can only find time, primers, powder and bullets to work up a load!

Good choice. I had them put a stock on a 270WSM or should say his other company High Tech Spec.

Good choice. Mark built me a .280 last year and I absolutely love it.

Bob257,
Welcome to the Forum; I see this is your first post.
The .280 is the one caliber I do not have at present. I have .270s, .30-06s, .308s, 7x57mms and 8mms, but no .280. I am having a .264 WM being built on a Mauser MarkX action that has been a work in progress at the smith's for the past 11 months.
As for components, my small town shop is still pretty well stocked, but others report outages of components in other states.
Again, welcome to this site.

The .280 Remington is a fine cartridge. I have several rifles in this caliber. All the best...

Gil,
When have you taken your large battery afield in deer season? Any season?
