Well, there's your problem! They just didn't make enough noise to let the bear know they were coming and get out of the way! :p

What's the story on that one, Vashper? I'm thinking either there must have been something wrong with that bear, or there's a hunter there who should be competing in Olympic track meets, because I can't imagine a human out-running a healthy bear for any distance.....

As I've heard these guys aren't hunters but Armenian farmers; bear wounded girl in their villages. "Olimpic champion" died week later from heart attack.

I wondered if it weren't something like that... They sure did seem to be going after that bear with a vengeance, and now we know why - as I was watching it, it struck me that this must have been how it was many centuries ago, when the men would gather into a war party to go after the threat.

And the bear got the one man even without catching him, eh? I'd bet the first heart attack hit him right then and there, but he was probably so pumped up on adrenaline that he never noticed it.... :(

I don't doubt that he suffered a heart attack, Because I've seen these things run up hill faster than a horse, on flat ground! I couldn't believe the guy didn't get cought in that chase. We were watching the clip, and my wife said when the guy fell, "I bet that guy just had a heart attack!" I think she was right, and just died later from it! That bear had to have been wounded bofore the chase, to not be able to catch that farmer, but he came very close !
