View Full Version : As affordable as it it attractive & concealable!
Found the attached while poking around this morning. Anybody care to guess how much it sold for? (No fair if you know - I'd just like to hear the WAGs on this one ;) )

looks like the result of inbreeding
You didn't notice what I called he pic? It's a WTF special
Actually, Walt, there are two, maybe three ways to answer that question....
First is that frankly, of everybody on the site, I'd think you'd have as good a chance as anyone of recognizing it. Chances are very good that you've seen it before, probably repeatedly. Beginning at around the time that you were trying to work up a little chemistry with that guitar chick.
Second is even more irritating - it's an American made piece, you could say - a Steyr short-action receiver grafted onto a Charter Arms revolver frame. So JAH's got it exactly backwards - it's a hybrid, not an in-bred...
Notice the magazine for the bolt-action welded onto the bottom of the revolver's barrel. And now just ponder, for a second, exactly where a round cycled up from that magazine would be found, after you closed the bolt. And ask yourself, too, exactly how it could possibly get there in the first place. :stupid:
So now you know where it was made :D
And when. Give or take a coupla years.
Third way is that I could tell you, but when you're snowed in, you just don't pass up any chance at all for a little entertainment ;)

I have two questions:
Why in the heck would anyone want it?
Why in the heck would anyone make it?
:confused1:
Apparently, there's some interest out there, or it wouldn't have sold for $270,000 when it went up for auction.:stoned:
You can get working replicas, too, including airsoft models....
All so you can look like this:

Well, if they could sell a corn flake on e-bay that looked like the shape of Illinois, I suppose that they could find someone who would buy a pistol like that. Never over estimate the intellect of the American public.
