I printed that out, and put it on the wall next to my 'puter.
I'll be going out on Sunday morning for walleyes and perch (shows to be a poor day :( ). The season is just starting for walleye (Saturday the 2nd) and the perch aren't in yet spawning, though they should be soon.
I was out for perch on Wednesday but only got 6, even though they were nice ones (3-10's 1-11, 1-12, 1-14) it was a poor day. We are allowed 50/day, and I consider 25 to 30 a good day.
Why not everyone see how their fishing luck compares with the predictions ?
I'll report my luck at the end of May :p

On the other hand next weekend is ranked "best". Hope the weather holds so my son-in-law and I can do that overnight trip. Looks like I should have been out today instead of working around here.
Like hunting I think the fishing is best when you can be out there!:)

My brother asked me to go to the Boston area (where he lives) for a week of striper fishing the week of the 10th. His buddy at work is a charter captain, but all he's going to charge us is the cost of gas.
I'm looking forward to that one :p:p:p

That should be a good trip.

My fishin looks 'spotty' for the next 2 weeks at least.
White perch are in the river now and I'd like to get in em but I got a good size list of stuff to do at work and around here. :o

Well, today is listed as a POOR day, and in a way it was. I was in the Niagara River looking for Walleyes, and they were not to be found :(
I did get 2 nice perch that were 10, and 13 inches.
I also got 5 small mouth bass that went from 17 to 20".
I took some pictures with the cell phone. The first one is the 20"er, and the 2nd is 18".
I'm going back out tomorrow for perch, their calling it a FAIR day, we'll see...

I went out just to test my above link.
2:30 was the time and that's when I put the boat in. Fishing was poor. I did catch a few bream during that 1st 45min even though I was fishing for bass. ... didn't catch any of them.

Almanac lists the May 8th, 9th, and 10th as best.
check out this moon calender (http://fullmooncalendar.net/)
and a quote from the real scoop link;
In other words, you want to plan your fishing trips to hit the peak of the full or new moon. Then you want to be on your favorite big fish spots during the daily rise and set of both the sun and the moon.
So this coming weekend should be excellent. :)

Its looking good for this weekend. The weather forecast is sunny and 90 both days and a 70 degree night. The fishing forecast provided by NC is even brighter! No rain is predicted this week so things should settle down and the water clear up. Think I will start sorting gear tomorrow.:)

A friend went out with me today, and we got 9 perch on a "FAIR" day.
The perch are still not in yet.

I have always looked at the lunar tables a little differently then most people. Whenever I have time to get out fishing I consider it a good day to go, no matter what that paper says.

I can agree with that as almost any day in the field beats the heck outta work, although there is a difference in a good day to go and a good day to catch fish.
Although I'm scheduled to work friday, I'm really looking forward to this weekend. ... just tryin to make up my mind what to target. The herrings are spawning around the river shore and I'm sure the white perch are to be had in the shallows as they follow the herring spawn. :)

I had to work but my oldest boy got into the fish today. He had a bunch of bass and bream, and a few white perch and catfish. Said beetlespins got most of the action.
The weatherman says tomorrow will be very windy. Figures.

It might have been a good day for the fish but topside it weren't fit for doodle.
I put the boat over this morning in spite of the 25mph wind, thought I might could fish up the creek. Didn't take long to see even up the creek I needed to tie onto something or be in the woods. I didn't last long. :o
The day turned into yard and project work. The more of that I do, the more I see that needs doin.

Wind layed down some this afternoon and I took Grandma and little Adrien out for a while.
We found fish up the creek and Adrien had quite a time with a cane pole and fishin worms. Had a small hildebrand spinner above the worm hook and pulled in a few good fish, four were slightly under a pound each. Nice bream. He caught a good many but those were the only ones we kept.

I'm at my brother's house in Boston.
I picked up the new perch reel at Bass Pro yesterday.

Filled up on seafood at dinner last night :p
From the weather, it looks like we will be trying the striper fishing on Wednesday.

My oldest son went down the creek this morning and tore the bass up on topwater. He fished for 2hrs without a bite, tied on a 4" Yo-Zuri minnow and caught 7 in the next hour.
http://www.yo-zuri.com/Products.htm
He said most of the fish hit it at the end of the 3rd jerk.
I got to lookin and he was using a Bananna Boat in clown color. (http://www.yo-zuri.com/Products/ProdMinnow/BananaBoat.htm)

I just got back from Boston Mass.
My brother lives there, and he invited me to go fishing on the ocean with a (RICH) buddy of his.
Now I don't know where in life I screwed up, but I think I was suppose to be rich too !!
Man, there's more money in that area than you can shake a stick at. We were exactly where they filmed the movie Jaws.
The boat we were on had two 250 horse power motors, mine has a 50.
I fish all day on Erie, and MAYBE use 5 gallons of gas. This guys' boat uses 44 gallons of gas an hour at 3/4 throttle !!
I go out on Erie about 13 miles, and a walleye that's over 10 pounds is considered fairly big.
These guys run out 120 miles and get 350 pound Tuna that they make a ton of money selling to restaurants.
The house where he docks his boat, right near Martha's Vineyard is a 2 MILLION dollar SUMMER HOME !
His garage has more toys than Cabala's has in their entire freekin' catalog!
Just where did I go wrong?? I wondered who I pissed off... L O L
The bad part of the trip was that nobody caught a fish... They just weren't biting that day. We ran all over looking for them.
Oh well I enjoy myself anyways, the guy was really a down to earth great guy, just has TONS of money to fish with.
And anyways, who wants a boat that holds literally over 1 ton of fuel, and costs $1050 when you say "Fill 'er Up" .
It was listed as a "POOR" day on the fishing calender.
Back to perch fishing on Monday. I talked to a buddy, and their now in. He cleaned 100 today, lots of 12, 13's, and 14's :p:p
Monday's listed as a "POOR" day too :(
