I'm getting ready to take a CCW class in two weeks. You have to bring a dual action revolver and a semi-auto pistol and since my only suitable handgun is my S&W 586 I borrowed a friends Glock 17. I had a .45 in the service and can shoot them pretty well but I've just always seemed to prefer revolvers. So I'm playing with this pistol to get familiar with it and I've discovered that I can shoot the thing pretty well considering I've had it two days. 25 yd pistol targets with every shot in the the bull. It seems like I can't miss and it's almost easy. Easier than with my Smith. I was planning to look for a Smith snubby for a carry piece just because it's a familiar platform and uses the same ammo I already keep on hand but now I'm starting to wonder if I shouldn't be too hasty. A friend of mine recently acquired a Colt Agent with a guttersight and that thing looks pretty interesting....I may have to give an auto pistol another look.
