My friend who moved up to Indiana just called me. He is in the woods now blood trailing a gobbler he shot with his bow. He has never been turkey hunting before, and he has been calling me all week for advice. In progress. He'll find the turkey. Excellent woodsman.
This guy is a master at hunting big bucks on public land. He has the deer to back that up. We hunted the same NWR before he had to move. I consulted him many times on tactics.
You should have heard the excitement in his voice a little while ago. He'll be back in the spring woods next year.
