I Need Nelp With Carpenter Bees

does anyone know of a good carpenter bee trap. i saw some on the internet. it was a wooden box that had a soda bottle attached to the bottom of it (well 1 and 1/2 bottles)

the pictures and video showed them filled w/ bees (but they very well could have just filled the bottles for effect)

i have replicated the traps and as of now have yet to get one...just want to know if anyone had a better idea...

They don't like paint and it's the best solution.

You can also fill up the holes at night with silicon caulk, trapping them inside. It emits fumes that I think kills em.

I know of no trap that is really effective on carpenter bees.
